Greetings fellow Martial Artists!

My name is Matt Hayes and I am the president of Mu Alpha Xi, a martial arts organization operating out of California State University, Chico. We are a brotherhood of martial artists and we are devoted to promoting the study of martial arts at the Chico State campus and within the community.

On Saturday, October 15th, Mu Alpha Xi will be holding its second annual open martial arts tournament to raise awareness of the martial arts community of Northern California. Our tournament was an enormous success last year and once again we would like to extend an invitation to all our fellow martial artists in the north state to participate in this year's tournament. There will be door prizes, trophies, live music by professional drummers, and spectators can attend for free.

We will have many divisions for all levels and ages. Our events will include kata (forms), weapons kata, kumite (sparring), and Grand Champion events.
